Favourite urban spot
A window-sill in the Marollen, Brussels, to observe the passers-by, strollers, neighbours passing through the cubblestreet. And particularly watching the three young men from the bakery, the butcher’s and the grocery passing through time, serving their customers, waiting for Godot in the street, while smiling, helping or teasing each other in overcoming some way of dullness. And why? Besides living in Brussels, walking through crowds and walks to the library, drinks in the cafés, theatre visits, one of the most amusing acts is observing the everyday practices of the ones you hardly know but share the same street, or neighbourhood with, in languages, practices you don’t understand…So, street life as such.
Tip: the best street life experience you will definitely find in Mumbai.
