Let us Unlock Brussels!

3 September 2016 , 9h00 - 18h30 Bozar. Ravensteinstraat 23, 1000 Brussel

After the traumatic events of the last few months, it is now time to think out how to break the multiple locks of various nature, which prevent Brussels from deploying.

This will be the core theme of Aula Magna's 7th edition of its Brussels Summer University (BSU). The BSU will be taking place at Bozar on September 3rd, in the framework of the Brussels Creative Forum 2016, with the support of the Brussels Academy and of the Marnix Plan for a Multilingual Brussels. We would be glad to see you take part in this 7th BSU.

In this latest edition of the Brussels Summer University, following in the footsteps of the Citizens' Forum of Brussels and the subsequent BSUs, various questions will be addressed:

  • Re(Imagining) Brussels after March 22nd,
  • Laicity and religious diversity in Brussels,
  • Brussels' housing crisis and how to solve it,
  • We Brusselers? How to build (again) a "We" for Brussels?
  • Brussels after March 22nd: between security and reconstruction?

The plenary closing session will give a chance to speak out to citizens of Brussels who have ideas to 'unlock' our city.

Take part yourself by suggesting ONE precise and concrete idea for unlocking Brussels (deadline: 29/08).

Choose a title for your proposal (max 140 characters) and write a short description (max 400 characters) and send the lot by email to Alain Maskens. The best proposals will be voiced out during the session.
