Eefje Vloeberghs is currently a PhD researcher within the Interdisciplinary Research Project (IRP) “Cities and Newcomers: Regulating Neighbourhoods of Arrival in Periods of Urban Transition”. This project is jointly coordinated by the VUB research groups Cosmopolis Centre for Urban Studies, Historical Research into Urban Transformation Processes (HOST), Interface Demography (DEMO) and CRiS (Crime & Society Research Group). Her PhD is supervised by Bas van Heur and Jenneke Cristiaens.

Next to her PhD, Eefje Vloeberghs also contributes to the organization of and teaching in the Erasmus Mundus MSc 4Cities programme.
